Role in the Commission

A support, not a mandate, department.

The Department is headed by the Under Secretary, and its functions are:

Planning, budgeting and monitoring the implementation of workplans.

Acts as a Secretariat to the Commission and coordinates the implementation of Government policies and directives.

Providing secretariat services for the Search and Recruitment Committee of the Commission;

Handling the recruitment and disciplinary records of the Commission and those for JSC staff members and all the administrative records.

Handling the public relations function.

Managing the Commission's physical assets.

Ensuring proper financial management.

Handling Public procurement and disposal functions of the Commission;

Provision of all the necessary logistical support for the proper functioning of the Commission.
