Public Complaints Handled in Q1: 2,341 Cases Reviewed

The Public Relations and Complaints Department handled 2,341 complaints in the first quarter of 2026 – a 14% increase over the same period in 2025. Of these, 1,890 were resolved, 294 were forwarded to the relevant judicial authorities, and 157 remain under review.

The toll-free line 0800 100 222 remains the most-used channel, accounting for 62% of submissions.

Toll-Free Line 0800 100 222 Processes 18,000 Calls in 2025

The JSC toll-free line 0800 100 222 received 18,142 calls in 2025, according to figures released by the Commission Secretariat. Inquiries on recruitment processes, judicial officer conduct, and civic education materials accounted for the bulk of call traffic.

The line operates Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 EAT, and is free of charge from all networks in Uganda.
