1 MEMBERS OF THE JUDICIAL SERVICE COMMISSION FROM 1962 TO 2024 Members of the Judicial Service Commission 1962 The Judicial Service Commission was first established under Article 91 of the 1962 Constitution of Uganda and the body had four (4) members as indicated below:- 1. The Chairman of the Public Service Commission of Uganda 3. A Pusine Judge appointed by the Governor acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister; and 4. One member of the Commission appointed by the Governor acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister of Uganda. Members of Judicial Service Commission under the 1967 Constitution of Uganda The Judicial Service Commission was established under Article 90 of the Republican Constitution of 1967. The Judicial Service Commission was under the Judiciary which is one of the arms of Government led by the Chief Justice of Uganda Members of Judicial Service Commission under the 1995 Constitution of Uganda The membership of the Commission is spelt out under Article 146 of the 1995 Constitution.
